The Distress of Sleepless Hours

Restlessness can grip you like a vice during the night. Every murmuration becomes amplified, every shadow takes on an ominous form. We seek for an/a/some escape, a place/safety/shelter where the pain/suffering/anguish can fade/disappear/evaporate, but often/always/sometimes the darkness persists/holds tight/remains. It's in these moments of helplessness that we must find/create/forge our own/internal/personal light/strength/will. We must face/confront/stand against the emptiness/void/terror, and discover/remember/unearth the powerful spirit that lies within/deep inside/at our core.

A Heavy Blanket of Insomnia

Insomnia can be suffocating weight upon your mind and body. You toss and turn, fighting for sleep that just seems out of reach. The hours crawl by, each one an eternity ridden anxieties and frustration. This lingering state of wakefulness becomes a prisoner of your own mind.

Yearning for Sweet Oblivion

The throes of oblivion was a siren's call, a gentle promise of escape. To drown in its depths was to silence the insomnia symptoms incessant cacophony of existence. The world's sharp edges dissolved under the influence of its peace.

To truly desire oblivion was to yearn for a temporary respite from the cruelty of being.
